How Annular Blowout Preventer Works

This BOP ground control system adopts hydraulic driving. The accumulator bank stores hydraulic energy, and dual power units keep the system pressure stable.

When well pressure goes abnormal, operators can use local, remote or automatic emergency shutdown modes to deliver pressurized hydraulic fluid to the BOP stack. It drives the ram and annular preventers to seal the wellbore rapidly and avoid well kicks and blowouts.

Equipped with gauges, safety valves and alarms, it realizes real-time monitoring and overpressure protection. The fluid system ensures clean and stable hydraulic oil. The system can work continuously even in the event of power failure.
