Cyclone Cone Assembly

Core separation components with 8-inch and 10-inch cones in multiple combinations. Made of high-strength wear-resistant materials to withstand abrasive mud flow.

Manifold System

How Desander Works

The desander adopts hydrocyclone centrifugal separation technology.

Pressurized drilling mud is fed tangentially into the cyclone cones at high speed. Strong centrifugal force is generated inside the cones. Heavy coarse sand particles (44–74μm) are thrown onto the cone wall, then spiral down and discharge from the bottom underflow outlet.

The relatively clean mud forms an inner upward vortex, flows out through the top overflow port, and is delivered to the next purification process. The whole process runs continuously under the working pressure of 0.25–0.45 MPa.
