1，Hydrocyclone Assembly (Core Separation Unit)

Cyclone Cones: 4-inch high-strength polyurethane cones (available in 4/6/12/16 units per model) are the heart of the system. They are highly wear-resistant, designed to withstand the abrasive flow of drilling mud while maintaining consistent centrifugal separation.

Manifold System: Consists of an inlet header (for pressurized mud feed) and an overflow header (for cleaned fluid discharge). The heavy-duty steel manifold evenly distributes mud to each cyclone cone, ensuring balanced flow and uniform separation efficiency.

2，Underflow Collection & Dewatering Unit

Underflow Hopper: A large-capacity funnel collects coarse solids discharged from the cyclone underflow outlets.

Integrated Dewatering Shaker: Mounted below the hopper, this small vibrating screen dewaters the discharged solids, recovering reusable drilling fluid and reducing waste volume. It includes a vibrator motor and a screen deck for continuous dewatering.

How Desilter Works

The desilter realizes purification of fine silt particles through hydraulic cyclone centrifugal separation.

The sand pump pressurizes drilling mud, and the high-pressure mud rushes into polyurethane cyclone cones at high speed along the tangential direction.

The mud rotates rapidly inside the cones and generates strong centrifugal force. Denser fine sand and clay particles (15~44μm) are thrown onto the inner walls of cyclone cones.

Solid particles flow spirally down along the cone walls and discharge from the bottom underflow outlet, then fall onto the matched bottom shaker for dewatering to recover entrained mud.

Clean light mud forms an upward central vortex, flows out from the top overflow port of cyclone cones, returns to the mud tank and enters the next-stage solids control equipment.

The whole equipment operates continuously under 0.25–0.45MPa to separate tiny silty solids in mud and prevent excessive mud viscosity and solid content.
